CWA Conference in St. Louis
Concert in Carl Junction, MO
It has been good to be on the road again.
Yes, it does take a little longer to "bounce back" from the really
late-night drives back home, but other than that it has been good. And,
even though we are sometimes booked for Senior Citizen events (which we
enjoy) we seem to be able to connect with the younger crowd as well when
given the opportunity. I preached one night of the Sublette preaching
rally and afterwards a teen came up and thanked me for the "awesome
preaching." Now I realize that for a teen-ager, everything is
"awesome," but it was nice to know that we were able to connect. That is
perhaps because the "message" is timeless and ageless. God is still "I
AM" not "I used to be but now I'm sort of out of touch with the times."
We can take heart in
that. We are indeed facing some perilous times and it is encouraging to
know that nothing takes God by surprise. Did it ever occur to you that
nothing ever occurs to God? That is most comforting to me.
We continue to get good
response to "Lord of the Rings" as well as Errett's wedding song,
"October Leaves." You can go the the product page and order
a copy. Just print out the
order form and send it in.
As you
can see from our schedule
page we have a fairly full fall. We are, however in need of
December dates so if you or someone you know could use a Ron & Haven
Christmas concert
in your area—perhaps for a Christmas banquet, please let us know.
Of course, there are ample openings after the first of the year as
well. From a financial as well as ministry perspective, it is important to
keep our calendar full.
Please pray for us
as we travel, preach and sing this fall—that God will use us to meet
needs, to encourage and to point people to Him.

Haven's
Book Corner
Ron and I both love
to read. We nearly always have books available at our concerts because
we believe so strongly in the powerful benefit of reading and being
informed. We will review books here in the Book Corner and you will
be able to get the reviewed book through our ministry. (previous
book reviews)

Who are your kid's
heroes? If asked, they will usually name a movie star, athlete, or rock
star. But are these the best heroes for our kids? I praise God for
Christians in these fields who do share their faith in Christ, but it's
definitely not the norm? That's why I love people who trusted God and
allowed Him to use them. What exciting stories of Christians like
Christopher Columbus, C. S. Lewis, Ben Carson, Harriet Tubman, George
Mueller, and many, many more. These stories are great family reading.
One mother said she has used them for family devotions and her kids love
them. There are 4 volumes, $15 each or all four for only $55.
These will make a great gift for the whole family!
Be sure and order
a copy.

Ron & Haven,
Just a note to say how much we enjoyed
having you participate in our Old Fashioned Preaching Rally. With ten
churches involved, I think I have heard from every one of them in the
past two days. Your music and preaching and interaction was a
blessing to so many. One man said, "It just would have been a shame
to have this revival without Ron and Haven - they brought something
special to the whole event!"
It was great to have some time together
with you both. You always inspire me . . . . We love you both and
will be praying for you.
Thanks for coming
Love ya,

Your books, Daily Discovery
are great! I've been through the first one and it has helped me
immensely. Thanks for putting these journals together.
